Linerless labels do not use the silicon backing liners to keep labels from sticking to each other. Instead, they make use of a special release coating. Without the backing paper, it allows more labels per roll, resulting in reduced transportation and storage costs.

For succesful linerless printing operations, make sure that you use a thermal printer that is designed for linerless printing.
